Guarantee policy
At EcoPlagas we are committed to performing every service under professional technical protocols and in compliance with current Costa Rican regulations.
General scope
Every fumigation and pest control service comes with a 30-calendar-day guarantee from the date of application, unless a different term is established in writing (for example, in specialized treatments such as structural wood or ceilings).
The guarantee covers only the treated areas and constitutes a service guarantee, not a guarantee of complete eradication.
What the guarantee covers
The guarantee provides for a targeted re-treatment in the treated areas where there is evidence of the persistence of the target pest within the established term.
It does not include:
- Complete re-treatment of the property
- Additional treatments not contracted
- Refunds as part of this guarantee (without prejudice to the rights recognized by Costa Rican law)
The effectiveness of the service depends on the property being kept in adequate sanitary conditions and free of factors that favor the re-entry or proliferation of pests.
Conditions for the guarantee to apply
The guarantee does not apply if conditions are found that favor the proliferation or re-entry of pests, such as:
- Accumulation of waste or dirt
- Exposed food or improper garbage handling
- Water leaks or active moisture
- Unsealed cracks or entry points
- Standing water
- Vegetation in contact with the structure
These conditions are objectively verifiable and may be documented through photographs, video, or notes on the service order. The company may record these conditions in writing during the visit.
New infestations
The guarantee does not cover new infestations originating from outside, neighboring properties, or structural factors beyond the treated area.
Food establishments
For restaurants, bakeries, butcher shops, and similar businesses, the guarantee applies only under a continuous monthly service plan, provided that the client stays current with the schedule without delays.
Procedure to claim the guarantee
- The client sends photographic or audiovisual evidence within the 30-day term.
- The company reviews the evidence.
- A targeted re-treatment is scheduled within a maximum of 8 calendar days.
Evidence
By contracting the service, the client authorizes the company to document conditions related to the service and the guarantee, respecting privacy and limited to the technical area being evaluated.

This policy falls under Law 7472 and MEIC regulations. It does not limit the consumer rights recognized by Costa Rican law.
